Now completed, all 12 veterans involved in the project are now residents, with the all the physically able members now in either full-time work or full-time education.
Status at 23/04/17
Work is now underway on the Nelson Project homes at George Place, Millbay, Plymouth, with the roofs going on – bringing the homes to watertight stage. The veterans inlvolved in the project are on site daily, with the homes expected to be completed by July 2017. As part of the work the veterans have also obtained professional building industry qualifications.

In a joint venture between Community Self Build Agency, DCH (the housing association partner) and Plymouth City Council, a site for 24 affordable homes for ex service personnel, with six homes for people with learning difficulties. Included in this are at least 12 custom build homes, with ex-veterans being offered help and support to get them building.
