It’s very rare for so many companies from the self build and renovation industries to be in one place at the same time and, so, we thought it would be a great opportunity to use the second morning of the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show – last Friday – to hold a networking event which offered our members the chance to meet likeminded businesses and potential partners.
I also provided a a short presentation on NaCSBA’s work promoting the interests of the homebuilding industry to Government. I offered an overview of NaCSBA’s aims to change the planning system; to increase the availability of plots and self build mortgages; and, to reduce tax burdens. I also looked at the likely implications for the sector of the 2015 General Election.
We had an attendance of around 130 people and the event went very well. A number of new prospective members attended the event to find out about NaCSBA’s work and we hope to develop some new partnerships as a result.
