Custom Build Homes (CBH) has teamed up with specialist land promoter and development company Landström Group to unlock land and support the delivery of a custom build project near Hailsham.
NaCSBA member Landström operates on behalf of landowners to secure the maximum potential from their land by taking it throught the planning system. Landström has developed a PropTech solution for identifying land parcels suitable for development, including for custom housebuilding, which in turn has created a new opportunity for the promoter by diversifying their proposition to become ‘Promoter Developer’.
As a concept, ‘Promoter Developers’ has been advocated by CBH founder Tom Connor. Consequently, CBH is delighted to see land promoters, such as Landström, maintaining a relationship with their sites beyond planning to support the delivery of serviced building plots, which enable the sale of land directly to the public.
Not only does this help unlock new sites for custom housebuilding, but it also maximises the return for their landowner clients. CBH will be supporting this proposition as Enabling Partners for the Hailsham project.
Custom building in Sussex
The new custom build site in East Sussex has Outline Planning Permission for five large detached homes, with buyers able to work with CBH to design and create their homes.
Currently a design code is being prepared for the site, which sets the parameters for individual house design, size, and specification and helps secure Reserved Matters approval from Maidstone Borough Council.
CBH holds the largest database of people looking to a create a new custom home in the UK, including documenting their preferences for a project. Therefore, as Enabling Partners, CBH is confident in creating customer propositions that are developed to respond to a known demand, and marketed to this active audience.
