Land & Partners has submitted twin outline planning applications for land in Warsash, Fareham, including the proposal of 14 dwellings for local custom or self builders. The land owners are keen to progress the owner-commissioned option and is keen for local people to respond to the consultation, which closes on 31 August.
The application for the Lockswood Road site includes:
1) Outline application for 27 residential dwellings
2) Outline application for up to 14 self/ custom build dwellings
The proposed self build plots are located adjacent to the existing built up area in the south eastern corner of the site, which is a self-contained field parcel
The land at Lockswood was originally part of Chapel Field Park, a large, 7 hectare allocated site set over multiple ownerships, with the potential for up to 200 homes, on land formerly used for various horticultural glasshouses that is surrounded by largely urban areas. The Council happily supported the wider planning application in advance of the emerging Local Plan allocation.
Anyone interested in self building can find out more and register their interest or comment on the applications can do so online before 31 August
As a land promoter, Land & Partners does not go on to build the homes, but instead concentrates on securing permissioned land. Its developments are focused around biodiversity through wildlife friendly landscaping.
