The Graven Hill Development Company (GHVDC) is looking to engage with custom build specialists to create several new show homes as part of Graven Hill’s initial development phase.
Phil Cringle, GHVDC Senior Project Manager, said: “Graven Hill is the perfect opportunity to promote self and custom build housing. As part of this we are looking to develop a number of show home plots in partnership with custom build suppliers. It is intended that these plots will help individual plot purchasers to envisage what they could achieve on their own plot, as well as to introduce potential suppliers. We are keen to involve suppliers who promote high quality design, deliver excellent environmental standards and provide innovative products and processes. We also hope that the development of the show homes will help to promote the Graven Hill development, the custom build industry as a whole, as well as acting as a hub to promote research and development and knowledge sharing.”
The Graven Hill project, set to create the UKs first large scale self-build community, is currently in Phase 0. This comprises 11 adjacent plots for nine four-bedroom detached homes and two three-bedroom semis the selected custom build partner(s) can acquire the single detached or both semi-detached plot(s) and build out a property in line with the specific plot parameters and the overall masterplan. A reserved matters planning approval will need to be secured by the custom build supplier and, as with all plots on site, GHVDC will undertake all Golden Brick works including foundations and services. Once complete, the house will be used as a show home for an agreed period by both the GHVDC Sales team and the supplier.
