NaCSBA welcomes the publication of a letter from Housing Minister Matthew Pennycook to the Chair of Homes England. This supports the Government’s commitment to the housing sector and it was pleasing to see diversification of housing supply is explicitly recognised as a key contributor in the delivery of the target of 1.5 million new homes over the course of the parliament. It was particularly good news to see custom and self build identified as part of this. The Housing Minister’s recommendation is recognition of the sector’s value and shows it has survived this year’s change of Government.
