Right to Build Task Force logos

Founded in 2017 as a NaCSBA initiative, the Right to Build Task Force advises a range of stakeholders to support the delivery of custom and self build housing. Working completely independently, it supports local authorities, land owners, developers and community groups and is growing and needs more help. The Task Force is now recruiting for a part-time Office Manager post, based from home.

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is funding the Task Force to continue its work, facilitating the Task Force to offer a free webinar session to all local authorities. These provide an in-depth introduction to the Right to Build and support planning officers and councillors about custom and self build.

About the position:

Office Manager, three days per week: this reliable, methodical and pragmatic person will keep meticulous records and take the administration of the Task Force in their stride.

The role is a contract, running between September to March.

HOW THE TASK FORCE OPERATES

The Task Force operates remotely, using a panel of custom and self build experts who provide written advice, workshops and, now, largely webinars to its client base across England.

These support understanding and good practice around the custom and self build sector, helping more people to have input into a home that suits their needs. You can find out more about custom and self build on NaCSBA’s Self Build Portal.
